Cat adoption

We are pleased and proud to place orphans, particularly kittens (often brought to us by the general public after being found abandoned), in homes every year with the help of dedicated cat lovers and pet owners in our local area.

All orphans receive free health management, including a full vet check, vaccination, microchip, worming and flea treatment and are very spoilt by our nursing team!

Wildlife care

Our team of dedicated nurses and vets provide injured and abandoned wildlife with care and support. Possums, birds (pigeons, doves, seagulls, even the odd swan and comorant) are commonly cared for at our clinic. In some cases animals may be transferred to registered wildlife carers where they are nurtured further until release.

Victorian Dog Rescue

We are proud supporters of Victorian Dog Rescue. This is a not-for-profit organisation whose purpose is to decrease the number of dogs euthanised in Victorian pounds each year. Most dogs end up in pounds through no fault of their own, and deserve a second chance.

Victorian Dog Rescue and Resource Group Inc are a group of volunteers who save dogs from death row in pounds, particularly in country Victoria. Over the last four years they have rescued more than 1500 dogs, many of whom they rehome themselves, others have been passed on to other rescue groups and shelters for rehoming. They rehome all sizes and ages, from 1 kg to 60 kgs, from a puppy to a 15 year old senior dog.

Victorian Dog Rescue rely on donations from their supporters and discounted vet work from community-minded vets. All their dogs are fully vet-checked and all health problems addressed before rehoming. They offer adoptive families a free 30-day service from a behaviouralist/trainer to assist with any initial settling in issues, and keep in contact with adoptive families to offer any advice or assistance for the lifetime of the dog or cat.

They are a registered charity and all donations are tax-deductible. Visit their website here.
