North Road Veterinary Centre in Gardenvale is owned and managed by Andrew and Wendy Milledge. Our veterinary clinic offers an experienced team of professional vets, vet nurses, dog and cat groomers and cattery staff – a highly skilled and happy team that provides an exceptional pet care service.

Dr Caroline Thursfield Veterinarian BVSc (Hons)

Caroline graduated with Honours from the University of Melbourne in 1995. She initially worked in mixed practice after graduation, and has since worked extensively in small animal practice. She also worked in a rural small animal practice whilst living in the UK. Caroline has been part of the team at North Road since 1998 and has established a loyal client following. She has a particular interest in animal behaviour and welfare as well as the provision of preventative health care. When not at work, Caroline enjoys travel and outdoor pursuits including hiking,scuba diving and running. She recently competed and completed the London Marathon raising funds for the Worlwide Veterinary Service.  At home Caroline is kept extremely active with Angus, a particularly handsome farm bred Border Collie, often running into clients in the local parks where Angus is well known.


Dr Jenny Tong Veterinarian BVSc (Hons)

Jenny graduated with Honours from the University of Melbourne in 1992. Early in her career Jenny travelled to the UK, and worked extensively in small animal practice. Jenny joined the team at North Road in 1999. She is particularly interested in the health and welbeing of pets, providing preventative health care and also looking after our senior pets, helping to manage chronic conditions and maximising their quality of life. Jenny also has a keen interest in animal welfare and a focus on maintaining excellent client care and communication. Outside of work Jenny loves cooking, travel and photography. She is the chief cake baker at NRVC!

 
Dr Rosemary Soh Veterinarian BVSc

Rosemary graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2014 and has been working in small animal practice in Melbourne since then. She joined the North Road team in 2019. Rosemary has a particular interest in animal behaviour, welfare, nutrition and geriatric care. She places a strong emphasis on getting to know individual clients and their pets, and is passionate about creating a fear free environment for pets when they visit the vet. Rosemary grew up in Kuala Lumpur but has lived in Melbourne for the last 10 years, finishing her final year of school here. She grew up with two Maltese terriers, and is now the proud owner of a British Shorthair cat, Prince Hubert! In her spare time, Rosemary loves to read, go to the gym and enjoys eating different cusines. She also makes soy candles!

 

 

 Dr Byron von Hoff BVSC

Byron grew up on a hobby farm on the Mornington Peninsula and has always been surrounded by animals. Having worked around the southeastern suburbs since graduating in 2007, Byron became a bayside resident and joined North Road Veterinary Centre in 2012. His particular interests are ultrasonography and internal medicine. Outside NRVC, Byron is kept busy by two young children, two ageing Chihuahua/terrier crosses, two beautiful Burmese cats and an ever expanding colony of dwarf tropical shrimp.
